I am searching for information on my ancestor Franz Gramlich and what he did in his service time for the Mexican war. I have the following lead: Franz Gramlich served in the Mexican American War under John Christian Gebhardt. Company C 3rd Regiment of Missouri Mounted Volunteers, during the war with Mexico under Col. John Rall.
Can anyone point me to a history of what this Missouri based vol. regiment actually did during the Mex War and where they went during their service time etc? I have googled it and come up with very little. Thanks!!
