Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Use this website and see what is online at MO State Archives:
http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/ordb.asp
They do have a Soldiers Database and your guy is listed as Francis Gramlick.
Also use Google Books and www.archive.org for searches. Spell out state names as older texts that have been scanned don't use MO for Missouri and the search engine may not find results with MO.
