Hi there! Needing some help from some kind soul. I am researching my wife's side of the family (in which she has absolutely NO interest in doing) and have received some information that Richard E. Farley, my wife's great-great-great-grandfather, (some records say Richard "C." Farley) served in the Mexican-American War.

I have written for the forms from the National Archives but was hoping someone might be able to give me a little verififcation of this fact so I can make a more coherent request for records.

Around that time he was Amelia County, VA and later moved into KY.

Thanks in advance for any help you may offer.
