Looking for any information on the parents, siblings or offspring of George Graham and Sarah Jane Saunders. George is said to have been born in St. Albans, Vermont, in 1822 to William James and Margaret Graham. Sarah Jane was born about 1825 in Ontario to James Saunders and Eliza Burgess. George and Sarah were married in 1847 in Ontario. George and Sarah had at least nine children, all of whom were born in the western counties of Ontario – Martha (1848), Mary Ann (1850), William James (1852), Andrew Robert (1854), Thomas Little (1856), Eliza (1858), Margaret Ann (1860), John Fletcher (1862), and one unidentified little Graham who may (or may not) have died at birth or in early childhood. In 1863, George moved to Nebraska with four of his children – William, Andrew, Thomas and Eliza. George lived in several states during his life, including South Dakota. He returned to Wisner, Nebraska, in 1892, where he died and was buried in 1894. William James married Olive Davis in 1880, possibly in Utah. They eventually settled in Deming, New Mexico, where he died and was buried in 1912. Olive died in 1936 in Long Beach, California. At some point, William was joined by his mother, Sarah Jane, who died in 1897 and was buried in Deming. Andrew Robert also lived in New Mexico for a period of time, but later moved to Chicago where he died in 1908. He was buried in Nebraska with his father George. Thomas Little (my great-grandfather) married Margaret Jane Thomas of Utah in 1881 in Madison County, Montana. They produced as many as nine little Grahams in and around Sheridan, including my grandfather, George Benjamin Graham. Thomas died in Butte in 1933 and is buried in Sheridan. Margaret died in 1928 and is also buried in Sheridan. Eliza married Chadwick Clark McNish in Nebraska in 1877. She died in California but was returned to Nebraska to be buried with her father and brother. Eliza and CC had two children, both born in Nebraska – Jesse (1878) and Mabel (1881). Sarah Jane remained in Ontario with the other four children – the two eldest daughters, Martha and Mary Ann, and Margaret Ann and John Fletcher, who were babies when their father and their older siblings left for the States. I have absolutely no clue what happened to any of these four children, although at some point, Sarah Jane joined her sons William and Andrew in Deming, New Mexico, where she died and was buried in 1897. If any of this sounds familiar, or if any of these names strikes a chord, please contact me. Cheers and thank you.
