this is my great grandmas orbit im looking for any info on her family thanks so much
Marie M. Bales, nee Mills, 88, of Swansea, Ill., born in Ogden, Utah, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, at Calvin Johnson Nursing Home, Belleville, Ill.
Mrs. Bales was retired from civil service having worked in the plating shop at McClellan Air Force Base (Sacramento, CA). During World War II, she was a parachute rigger. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Belleville Ward. She was an avid bowler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl V. Bales Sr.; and her parents, Melvin and Gertrude, nee Van Rootselar, Mills.
Surviving are two sons, Carl V. (Ruth) Bales of Swansea, Ill., and Donald R. (Irene) Bales of Henderson, Nev.; a daughter, Gloria (Don) Taylor of Prescott Hills, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
For friends who wish, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
=Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
