Wilhelm Klee and Dorothea Ottmann were from Baveria, Germany. I do not know when or what ship they came over on. They settled in Highland co., Ohio. The Klee name became Clay. The Clay family first appear in the 1860 Federal Census, Liberty Township, Highland Co. Wm. 46, Dorthey 39, Dorthey 20, Caroline 17, Tennis 15, William 8, Charles 6, Amelia 3, and Henry 1 years old
The Name Utman, Eva 55 (this is the woman that shows up as Eva Hey Utman in the Family tree CD's) and Lewis 28 and charles 22 years show up there. I believe Dorthea Clay married Charles Utman. My Robert L.Utman born March 23,1924 and married Mabel L. Sanders whom died May 26, 1963,came from this family some how and I am looking for any information. NANCY E. PEACE--LPNPEACE@AOL.COM
