UTTENDORFER from Bavaria, Germany

I am researching the UTTENDORFER surname on my father's side of the family. The earliest location reference we have for our Uttendorfers is in the area of Mitterhausen and Gerlstten in Bavaria, Germany. However, we feel the family may have originated from Uttendorf, Germany. The majority of our Uttendorfer family members emigrated from Bavaria to the United States in the 1890's up to 1901 and settled (at least for a while) in Dodge County, Wisconsin. At least one of our individuals lived in St. Gallen, Switzerland before his immigration to Wisconsin. The earliest family members we have been able to trace are Peter Uttendorfer and Helena (FRAMMERSBERGER) Uttendorfer. Together they had 10 children.

As the surname is an uncommon one, others researching UTTENDORFER may very well be related to us. Please email me if you would like to exchange information and possibly establish a link between our families.
