I am trying to find out more information about William Uttley and Ann Girling and their chidren, specially the 9 children who stayed in England and lived in Norfolk, England. I think that one of these sons may have been my biological grandfather, as his last name was Uttley. My Grandmother (Em ily Mayhew) had a son (my father) out of wedlock and the father's last name was Uttley and that is all we know. My father's name was Frank Arras Uttley Mayhew, born April 12, 1918 (Mayhew was his mother's maiden name) and he was born in the Beccles/Bungay area in Suffolk near Norfolk. My father's dad,______Uttley was supposed to have been killed during the First World War or was he? Was he married to someone else at this time? We would like to know more about the Uttley families that remained in England. Please reply to me, Diane LeClair if you can help me.
