I just returned from Alleghany County where I was attempting to find information on my family--the O'Briens. Several of the Callaghans were sponsors at baptimism for my grandfather and his brothers: My grandfather, Charles Morgan O'Brien had Dionysius Callaghan Kinnerey as a sponsor in 1892, his brother, Dennis had Dionysis Callaghan Kinnery and Rose Callaghan as sponsors in 1893. I saw many Callaghan gravesites at the mission, St. John located in Sweet Springs, WVA (on the line between VA and WV) at the cemetery behind the church and on the old family cemetery of the Floyd family where people in that area were buried. I'll be glad to give you all the info I have if it would be helpful.
