"Families of Old Pendleton District, South Carolina" Vol. 1 states: John Anderson b. 1680-Ulster Co., Ireland; d. in Augusta Co., VA; went from Ireland to Augusta Co., VA in 1738 with children George & James. John's brothers George, William & James also came with them. John m. Margaret in 1712-Ulster Co.; she was b. there & d. in Augusta Co.
4 children: John, George, James, & William.
Son John b. 13 Jan. 1713-Ulster Co.; d. Feb. 1787-Augusta Co.; will probated in Staunton, VA; m. Jean (b. in Ulster Co.; d. ca. 1750-Augusta Co. 10 children listed: mary, Ester, Margaret, William, John, Robert, Abraham, Jean/Jane, James, & Andrew.
Is there anyone with proof of any of this info? If this is correct, John Jr.'s son Abraham is my ancestor.
