In re-reading this message, I see that I made an error.

The mother of Mary HEIZER whom we believe md. Peter GRASS---

Mary's mother WAS NOT Mary. Her name was Anne HOWE and she md. 1) Valentin HEIZER in PA. Valentin died in an accident before Mary was born and his widow (Anne) md. 2) William BURK(E)---also in PA.

About 1774, William and Anne BURKE and Valentin HEIZER's children by HEIZER sold their property in Philadelphia/now Montgomery Co., PA and moved to Augusta Co., VA where they lived close to the Jacob GRASS, Sr. family there.
