Seeking any info on the following:
Levi Beard, born ca 1823 in VA and married Margaret Shue Oct. 1 1845 in Augusta Co. In 1850, they are in Augusta Co. In 1860, they are in Rockingham Co. In 1870, they are in Albemarle Co. Levi died in 1878, in Ashland, Boyd Co., KY. He served in the 3rd Battalion Valley Reserves, VA. I suspect he was a brother of Noah Beard, b. ca 1821, who married Mary Stover in Augusta Co. VA.

Known children are:
Mary Elizabeth Jane Beard - b. 1846
Amanda Beard - b. ca 1848
Sarah Beard - b. ca 1848 (may be same person as Amanda)
James F. Beard - b. ca 1849
John A. Beard - b. ca 1851
William M. Beard - b. ca 1854
Joseph W. Beard - b. ca 1858
Margaret Alice Beard - b. 1860
Nannie Ann Beard - b. ca 1862
Luther W. Beard - b. ca 1866

Some of these children ended up in Boyd Co., KY and Greenbrier Co. WV.
