The Gillespie DNA Project is looking for more descendants of the Gillespies that resided in Warren Co. Ohio at an early date.
We have tested one individual who traces his family history back to one of the families, but we need to test descendants of the others to see if they are related. I have been told that the GEORGE GILLESPIE who married JANE ALLEN came from PA. We need DNA from his line. We also need DNA from the descendants of SIMON GILLESPIE.

DNA TEST KIT #86132 This is a 67 marker DNA kit. The history on this family is more recent and we do not know how they tie into the family of Thomas/Naomi of Rowan Co. NC or George of Washington Co. TN.
More research needs to be done in Warren Co. OH to find the identity of Gen. #1 GLASBY/GILLESPIE that apparently died between @1843/1850.

Obviously this is JANE GILLESPIE and her son GEORGE JR. from DNA KIT #114976. I don’t know who the next George is. I would think that her husband GEORGE would be buried there also, so maybe his stone was lost to time.
