My great-great grandfather, George W. Harris, and his brother, Alambert W. Harris, both were born in Warrensboro, Augusta County, VA between 1816 and 1818. In census data they state that both their mother and father were born in Virginia. I have no names for their parents or any siblings. Does anyone know if there are any birth records for Augusta County in the early 1800s? Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.
The family, or at least the brothers, had moved to Indiana by the 1830s, where I located marriage records for both of them--none of which provide any parental information.
