Ewell and Mary are both buried in the Philos Cemetary, Westernport, MD. His year of birth is listed as 1863 and death is 1943 (I do have his date of death 2/2/1943). Mary J Mercer has no year listed and death of 6/29/1912. There's a Mary Blanche J Mercer born 1895 also (I believe this was their daughter) died 1942. They must have moved sometime between 1900 and 1910 as they are on the 1910 Census in Allegany County, MD. His death record with Mineral County, WV shows year of birth as 1865 age 78. In the 1880 Census he was listed as 13 years old which would make year of birth about 1867 so his year of birth is still a mystery. Mary Blanche Shank I believe was his wife's name but I don't have any details on her.
