Married by Dr. Balmain 1793 who recorded in his journal he was paid seven ponds and one shilling (a tremendous fee)by William Snickers for performing the ceremony Much info on the Snickers family can be found in Proceeedings of the Clarke County (VA) Historical Association Volume XVII (1971-1975).
