Clarke County, VA Overseers of the Poor

I was wondering if anyone might know if records were kept relating to those children bound out to families in Clarke Co. in the 1800s. I have come across entries in the Clarke Co. Court Orders of the period that mention the "Overseers of the Poor." This group would apparently assign a child to a family that could support it. Unlike formal guardianships which appear to have account records, I haven't been able to find any further records on this "Overseers of the Poor" group or the children that were bound out. There is one record that I am particularly interested in pertaining to the Ashby family.
