I found the following: Combs Cemetery,Hopewell,Fauquier Co, VA., located at the end of Route 700, Creel Lane, there were engraved stones with the name Combs, possibly the graves of Robert Combs (1753-May 1842)and his wife Sarah (Linton) Combs. Robert Combs was a soldier in the Revolution. He applied for a pension 1832. I came across this in a book while searching for Bruin/Creel ancestors. Also, buried there is Sarah H.(Bruin)Corbin, daughter of Elias and Sarah Bruin, wife of George N. Corbin. There is no known connection to the Combs family.
