Here is a little information: Thornton Leach, bound out as apprentice 1798 to George White, carpenter and joiner, Fauquier Co.

1860 Fauquier Co. census, The Plains Post Office:
Thornton K. Leach, age 64, farmer, b. VA
Betsey, age 64
Jane, age 43
Wade, age 35
Mary, age 25
Peter, age 22
Joshua, age 21
Ninnie, age 7 (maybe a granddaughter??)

These may not be the same Thornton - if he really was 64 in 1860, he would only have been 2 years old in 1798 when that Thornton was bound out.
