Hi, Ken. I am also researching the Gray families of Fauquier and Loudoun Counties, Virginia. I am a descendant of James Gray, who was a son of Jesse Gray and Roda Brown. I believe your William Gray to be James' older brother.

Jesse Gray and Roda Brown(e) were married 23 Mar 1818, Fauquier County, VA. Your William would have been born abt. 1820. He fits with this family. The date of his birth doesn't seem to fit with the other Gray families in Fauquier at the time (descendants of Nathaniel Gray).
