I'll start with the Hatchers.

Addie Hatcher is the sister of my ancestor George Hatcher who was married to the Mary Ann Napper Hatcher that I mentioned. Addie and George's parents were Henry and Rebecca. Rebecca's mom was Lucy Payne. I was told by another researcher of this family that Henry was not the biological father of all of "his" kids, but that a white man was. George being one of the white man's kids. Addie and George's siblings are Lizzie, Lucy, Henry, Fanny, Berkeley, John, Maggie, Robert, Linzer/Lindsey, Frank, and Webster/Webby. Mary Ann and your Daniel Napper's parents were Frank Napper and Cordelia Ferguson as mentioned. Their siblings being James, William, David and Joseph.

Frank Napper's parents were Alfred Napper and Ann. His siblings were Annie, David, Louis, Alfred, Hannah, Ellen, and maybe Jane. When Ellen died she was the slave of Frs. Johnston of Fairfax Co. So, maybe Frank and his parents were too. Frank's mother Ann's parents perhaps are Albert Napper and Ann Jackson, but I can't be sure. In the book series "Loudoun Discovered" it mentions that Frank Napper was a "freed negro from Alexandria" who moved to Loudoun's Bull Run Mountain area "shortly before the civil war". Although, he is on the 1870 Fairfax census with his parents. Maybe he moved back home by then.I know that his son James' descendents are still in the Aldie,Loudoun area. Frank was in Fauquier on the 1880 and 1900 censuses. Daniel Napper was born May 28, 1878 in Fauquier.

Frank's wife Cordelia's parents were William Ferguson and Louisa. Her siblings were James, Isaac, Elizabeth, Daniel and M.A.(Mary Ann?),plus more to total 16. Cordelia's father William was the slave of Dennis Johnston/Johnson of the Mount Vernon, Fairfax Co./Alexandria area. I'm guessing that the 2 Johnston slave owners that I've mentioned are a part of the same family. I've seen Louisa's mom named as both Delia and Celia. In a Southern Claim to the Gov't (for a stolen horse during the Civil War), Louisa mentions that her father was George Washington's slave and his carpenter. I have also seen somewhere an Ann Napper mentioned with Mount Vernon(the house).

Another connection between the Hatchers and Nappers is that Rebecca Hatcher (Addie and George's mom) married Isaac Ferguson (Cordelia' brother) after they both were widowed. Isaac was married to Frank Napper's sister Annie before that.
