Land Deeds Book 38, page 428 mentioned that George B. Whiting & his wife Frances of Frederick Co. VA sold land to Beverly Whiting of Jefferson Co. VA for $1600, date of deed 21 Dec 1815. So perhaps you should be checking records in Frederick Co. VA not Fauquier Co. VA. The name I have found in a few records in Fauquier Co. VA, but no George B. Whiting.
