Sorry, I have been without a computer for almost two months. We set the new one up yesterday. I found your message.

Yes, James Booth Wigginton, the son of Capt. James Wigginton, Jr. and Sarah Ann Pendleton is my GGGgrandfather. His name is really James Botts Wigginton. I was able to acquire a certified handwritten copy of the 1813 will of Sarah Botts Wigginton. She named him as James Botts Wigginton, son of her son James. The reference to him as James Booth Wigginton is a misprint which appeared in a Tyler's Quarterly article in 1952 and has been used as fact ever since.

Thanks for the Fargeson information. Now that I have a computer I will be following up on that.
