Anyone interested in the McCoy Family of Fauquier Co.VA. My only interest is finding someone who knows from what other parts they lived before Fauquier Co. VA.

Want to isolation them from the MacKay/McKay of Frederick/Warren Co. VA.

In John Gott's book on Marriage of that location the earliest male marriage was a:

Isaac McCoy 28 Jan 1771 to Bridget Withers, daughter of James.

He has listed others.

It would appear that this family used the spelling of the name only as McCoy.
