I am still looking for the maiden name of Matilda wife of Daniel Pilcher of Fauquier Co. VA. She according to Federal Census was born 1796 in VA.
Others have said she was a member of the Jett family. But the only evidence I have found so far is that Daniel Pilcher in right of his wife sue for a portion of Francis Jett estate in Fauquier Co. VA in 1837.
I have not found the names of any of his children. Matilda would have been about the same age group as the John Jett you are looking for.
I have found some records about the Jett in wills and land deeds, but I think I will have to find my answers in the earlier land deeds. Jett lived in Stafford Co. before removing into Fauquier Co. VA. Same is true about my Pilcher family, so they did live in the same location about the time they would have married.
If you have not ordered family histories through L.D.S. library about the Jett family you might try that. I wouldn't trust their computer bank full of mistakes.
