I am desperately searching for any information on a James Edward Thomas that married a Susan Elizabeth McGuinn. They supposedly got married on the 26 Nov 1927 in Pennsylvania, but we have not been able to find any information to confirm that. James Edward and Susan Elizabeth had three children. A son born on 11 Aug 1929 in Fauquier County, VA and died a short while later. We don't even know where he is buried. We were told that his name was James Edward Thomas, Jr., but his birth cerficate says his name is Herbert Hoover Thomas and there is no death certificate for him. They had a daugher, Helen Muriel Thomas born 27 Aug 1930 in Fauquier County and a daugher Margaret Elizabeth Thomas born the 20 Jan 1932.
James Edward Thomas left this small family shortly before or after Margaret's birth and they have not seen or heard from him since.
He was supposedly born on th 25 Nov 1904, in Akron, OH, but on Helen's birth certificate he is listed as being 40 years old and Susan Elizabeth is 25 years old. If the information is correct, he would have had to been born in 1890. We understand he was quite the "playboy" and could have been married before.
If anyone has any information, please let me know. The daughter's are 69 and 67 yrs. old now and would really like to know who their father was because they can't remember him. Also, because they can't go any further with their family history because it stops with him.
