There were two mentions of Charles & Margaret Ratcliffe in my second Will Book for Fauquier Co. VA 1800-1865 for $40.00 plus $3.50 postage and handling, check or money order to me: Dee Ann Buck 10814 Paynes Church Drive Fairfax, VA 22032 I do not see the surname in the index of John K. Gott book on the first six land deed books for Fauquier Co. VA. It could be your ancestor entered Fauquier Co. VA after that date, or he lived elsewhere.
