Looking for info on Mary E. Terry, the second of three wives of Capt. Henry Clay Derrick, C.S.A. They had no issue. Derrick had no known pre-war ties to Halifax Co., being from Washington, D.C., however after surrendering at Appomattox he walked to Halifax Co. indicating a marriage prior to that date.
It is probable that they married between 1858 and 1865 and it appears that she died between 1865 and 1869 as he married his third wife, Martha Cosby of Halifax Co. in 1870.
