LINK/ROGERS connection in 1760s-80s

For many many years I have been searching for a connection
between the family of John Adam LINK, who died in Halifax Co
in 1789, and the ROGERS family of Halifax. LINK and Peter
ROGERS were neighbors on Hico Creek in the 1760-89 period.
Speculation is that John Adam LINK married a Sarah ROGERS in
Caroline or Spotsylvania before moving to Halifax, but I have
found no Sarah in the ROGERS trees that fit the timeline.
This Sarah (in JAL's will) is my brick wall. Any hints,
speculations, or good guesses would be appreciated.
