Hi,
Have you been to the Danville Libray? I have gotten some great info on my family there..Since you live in NC its only a little over an hour to Danville Va.

I do have pages from the survey book on land in Halifax co. There is a William Link, John Rodges and Peter Rodges, with my Salmon Family all in which were neighbors in the 1760's They all lived around Lawson's creek and Butram Creek..Peter bought his land in 1772 July 2nd 4 hundred and 17 acres..John Rodgers own land 792 Acres on Lawson's creek in 1759 of May 18th..Next to Peter on the map..Above them were my family William & John Salmon and a John Lawson..I do know that there was a Sarah wood who married my kin Henry Salmon and i have a picture of that reads Second Indian wife to Rodges..this is from a family member..they had a child named Sarah who married a William Rodgers on Nov 24th 1823
I met a Rodgers up here in Halifax co the other day..he was showing me a old cemetery in the woods where there wasn't anthing but sunk in ground..and a stone at their head..It was sad to see at least 10 graves were there..and some of them could have been my Salmon family because i was in the same area where they owned their land..Well I hope i helped you some..
Nancy ANn
