researching Ribon Monroe - 1800-1848 Halifax Cty, Va

I am researching one of the Monroe families in Halifax County. I have gotten as far back as a Ribon Monroe. Here's what I have on him.

According marriage records he married a Parthena Owens in Halifax County in Oct of 1842. According to will records, we died about 1847-1848. He had one son, James R. Monroe - born 1843.

And finally I see him last (and only) in the 1840 census as a single person, marked as 30-40 yrs old. This would make his birth as between 1800-1810.

If you have any further info on Ribon or his parents, I would appreciate hearing from you.
