I don`t have any info, but I do have a suggestion. Contact the Library of Virginia in Richmond. They have the personal property tax records for Halifax Co. on microfilm. When he turned 21 he would have been listed in the tax records. It will give you some insight on him and may also help locate who his parents were.. Good Luck, Jack
