My research on Henry Dawson, b. prior to 1725 from Amherst County, VA has led me back to Isle of Wight. While I continue to paper search, I would like to ask that someone who is a direct male descendant of this family please participate in the Dawson DNA project. I am willing to pay for the test of anyone whose lineage goes back to William through any son.
Please consider this...it's not painful, it requires no blood, just a simple swab of the cheek twice in the same day. If you're willing, please don't take too long to let me know. Test results take 6 weeks to come back.
I have a cousin who was working on our line years before I came along to start. She has been diagnosed with cancer that has spread and has been in the hospital over a month now. She is a fighter and has made a comeback from the complications that have kept her in the hospital.
The best gift I can give her is to know who we descend from.
I hope you'll help me to give that to her.
