Ms Mason,

The first generation of my family ( John Carroll, his wife and children)arrived in Isle of Wight, VA 1n the mid-1600s. My family migrated from Isle of Wight to Albemarle, Nelson, and Amherst counties. All 13 generations of my family have called Virginia their home. An earlier posting by you asked about a GW Carroll who was a carpenter living in nelson County. He was my GGGrandfather whose first wife was Mildred Woody. She died while George Washington Carroll was away during the Civil War. She is buried near Variety Mill in Nelson County.

I have a significant amount of information on each of the generations in my family. If you are interested, please contact me.
