hi

this is info i recently posted on the goode family forum but does anyone have info that joel elam associated with my harris and goode families in lunenburg/ mecklenburg co, va was the son of john elam and martha goode, sister of my mackerness goode, sr?

i would appreciate hearing from others interested in and who know more about joel elam.

here is a copy of the henrico co, va will of my/ our samuel goode, sr/ martha jones from a rootsweb site, which is stated to have been found in the book "va cousins".

i take it this will is considered to be accurate?

are the dates of birth for their children given here considered to be accurate and are these dates given here, per this rootsweb site, also from the book "va cousins"?

as i have noted, per the will of my samuel goode, sr in 1734/ 1735, their daughter frances goode was of age but, at the time, not stated to have been married.

their daughters martha goode and margaret goode are indicated to have been under the age 21 at the time 1734/ 1735 when our samuel goode, sr's will was written and proven.

speaking of martha goode, per info i have seen, but definitely can not confirm, martha goode is said to have married john elam and that these were their sons: joel elam; william elam; and edward elam involved with both william goode and my william harris/ judith hudson, etc in lunenburg co, va.
