The 3rd annual Rainey/Raney reunion of the Francis Rainey and the Peter Rainey/Raney lineages of Southside Virginia and northern North Carolina will be held Saturday, August 4th at the Tabernacle Baptist Church social hall in South Hill,Virginia. Time is 10AM until 3PM. Event has a "covered dish" lunch at noon. Last year 7 states represented in attendees. For more information contact: HW Rainey at hwrainey@yahoo.com. We invite any Rainey descendant to attend, not just the two families listed above. Many attendees have been researchers, some have also become involved in DNA testing to further their research. We welcome people to bring anything of their family history to share to the group. Some have met the previous day to explore the Rainey/Raney places of interest in the area.
