I am trying to determine the location of a land parcel based on a 1768 land record. It is described as being “…on the lower side of Great Creek and on the upper side of Miles’s Creek beginning at…[a] corner near the head of Parrots Branch.” I easily located the general area on the north shore of Lake Gaston, but I can’t find a Parrots Branch on a topo map, in GNIS, or via an internet search. Can anyone help?
