I looking for any info on Jane Annis Dunavant's family. She was born in Virginia about 1770, have been told she may have taken her stepfather's name. She first married John Ligon Oct. 12, 1789. He died in 1794. She married Reuben Jackson March 10, 1800 in Mecklenburg County. One person told me she was married to a man named Dunn after her first husband died. I question this as her name is listed as Annis Ligon on the marriage record to Reuben. It's always possible there were multiple people with the same name. I am also interested in the Jackson family.
