Looking for the parents of Marbrey C. Goodwin born 1811 in Va.
Marbrey married Benjamin Foster on 23 Feb 1826 in Licking, Ohio.

Benjamin was born in 1805 in Ohio. He died before the 1860 census.

The children of Benjamin Foster & Marbrey C. Goodwin are:

Margaret born in 1832~in Oh
David born in 1834~in Oh
Noah born in 1837~in Oh
Marbary born in1838~in Oh
Mary J. born in 1843~in Oh
Sarah born 1845~in Oh
Martha R. born in 1850~in Oh

This family moved from Oh to Hancock County Illinois sometime after the 1850 census & before the 1860 census.
Do not know if they moved before or after the husband/father died on not.

In the 1850 census, Benjamin & the oldest son is listed as a Blacksmith

In the 1860 census the family was in Hancock County, Illinois.
Marbrey is listed as a widow, and Latecia Couch 68 VT, is in the household.

This could very well be Marbrey's mother, that came to be with her daughter & family after Benjamin's death???
[But, I am not sure, as I have been unable to find any information about that.]

That would mean that the name Goodwin is Marbrey's ex husband & the C for her middle initial is her maiden name [Couch].

Martha R. Foster grew up & married Marcellus Bragg on 1 Sept 1867 in Adams County, Illinois.
Marcellus Bragg was born 23 Sept 1845 in Missouri.

He is the son of Benjamin Bragg of Mass. & Hannah Rich of Vt.
The family had moved to Adams County, Illinois.
