My G Grandmother was Sarah Catherine Franklin Bartlett (b. 14 Dec 1869, d. 14 Dec 1950 m. Jessie Garris 1888), the only daughter of Benjamin Francis Bartlett(b. abt 1845 d. abt 1869), a private in Virginia Company B, 16th Regiment of the CSA. Both were born in Nansemond Co., the northern part of present day Suffolk, Va. I know that Benjamin's father's name is Robert (d. Jan 1870), and his mother's name was Catharine (d. bet 1870 and 1880), and that both of them were born around 1820. Benjamin had three brothers: William P., Stephen C., and Richard. All of whom were either dead or out of the Suffolk area by 1910.
I'm looking for their graves. Benjamin's father died in Chuckatuck, according to census records. If anyone has any information about this branch of Bartletts, or any info on the area, please contact me. ashengem@yahoo.com
