Looking for marriages for Hamilton Morris who was b Jun 1843 and died between 1900 and 1910. He appears single, age 24, in the 1870 census. In the 1880 census, he is with wife Fannie E. _____ and daughters Lovell (7), Alice (4), and an unnamed son b May 1880. By 1900 he had been married to Lou D. _____ for 14 years, and had children Grace (11), Anice (10), Mary (7), James H. (5), Ethel (3), Harry H.(2), and Dolly R. b Jun 1899. What happened to first wife Fannie E. and her children? Were there other children born to them between the 1880 census and about 1886 when he married Lou? I believe that Lou's maiden name was Scott (d/o James Simon & Matilda Ann Scott), but who was Fannie? Hamilton and Lou Morris were my great-grandparents and lived all their lives in Stonewall Magisterial District in Richmond Co., VA on the road between Warsaw and Newland.
