Lee's will was Probated Will prob 12/21/1775 Lancaster Co, VA but I don't have it.
In Lancaster Co. court records Lee Griggs vs Robert Edmunds on 16 Sept 1763 and again on 20 Jan 1764. Lee Griggs was a witness for George Brent on 19 July 1771 and for James Pinchard on 14 Sept 1771. On 17 June 1773 Elizabeth Griggs was granted letters of administration on the estate of Lee Griggs dec'd. together with William Griggs, her security
and an appraisal of this estate was ordered. On 21 Dec 1775 Elizabeth Griggs, orphan of Lee Griggs dec'd. chose William Griggs as guardian, John Griggs, orphan of Lee Griggs chose Thomas Hubbard and Lee Griggs, orphan of Lee Griggs chose Elias Edmunds. On 18 Jan 1776 on the motion
of Lee Griggs by Elias Edmunds and John Griggs by Thomas Hubbard is ordered...divide the estate of Lee Griggs among lawful claimers and make report to next court. (Lanc. Co. Orders 1764-1778)
The children of Lee and Eliza Griggs were Thomas Griggs, Elizabeth Griggs, John Griggs, and Lee Griggs.
