Ciao Alex! I haven't read this board for quite a while. I too posted a message in the fall concerning my family being from Bonefro. Both my grandfather, Francesco and my grandmother, Carmela Santoianni Vaccaro came from Bonefro. My great-uncle Niccola (Francesco's brother) and his wife, Maria Vaccaro , settled in New Rochelle and raised their family there. I also know Tony Vaccaro, the photographer, whose family was from New Rochelle . I understand that many Bonefrani went to N.Rochelle and formed a club there. I've been to Bonefro twice and plan to go back this summer, if possible. I bought some books about the prominent families and history of Bonefro the last time I visited.
