Although I am not a Vaccaro, I have spent two summers in Bonefro at a music festival held there, and was pleased to meet (both years) Antonio Vaccaro, who I'm sure is of close relation to you. He is a well known photographer, and a very kind man. His photos of WWII are some of the best, many of which I'm sure you'll recognize if you see them.
One of my friends there is related to your grandmother: Michele Cechere.
Bonefro now has some pretty good interned coverage, and Tony Vaccaro is in the process of making a documentary about the town.
