Hi,

My great-grandmother was Maria Vaccaro (1875-1925) born in Calamonaci, Sicily. Calamonaci is in the province of Agrigento. Maria married Modesto Miceli and emigraged to the US between 1896-1901. Settled in Southeast Louisiana. Our family name changed from Miceli to Mitchell. Maria's parents were Liborio Vaccaro and Rosalia Tudisco, also from Calamonaci. Hope this connection helps.
