Dear Jason,
Having just returned from Bonefro with birth certificates in hand for my grandfather and grandmother, I am answering your posting in hopes of further information. My grandfather Joseph Colombo married Carmela Spada. Carmela's father was Vincenzo Spada and her mother was Clementina Porrazo.
My great grandfather on my father's side was Giovanni Colombo, married to Chiata Vaccaro.
Perhaps there is a connection?
