Hi,my surname is vadalà and i live in Rome, however the name vadala comes from sicily.I looked for the origins of my name and I discovered that it is diffused in all south italy and it comes from arabic.Yes its meaning is "favored of Allah" or "slave of Allah" and it derives from the arabic domination in the south italy from 827 a.C. to 1060 a.C. That's all I know..bye!
