Hart dit Jolicoeur or Vadeboncouer, Plattsburg NY

I am trying to trace the following family.

My mother in law was told that her grandmother, Mary Tacy, was the daughter
of Abraham Tacy and Julia Jolicoeur.

Records on the family in Northampton Massachusetts consistently give her
maiden name as Julia Hart. With a dob on 1900 census of January 1850, born
in New York or Canada.

Research found that Abraham was the son of Abraham Tacy of several villages just south of Plattsburg, NY, and that his probable bride was Julia Hart, daughter of Joseph Hart born 1832 in Canada, and his wife Jane born 1831 in
Canada. They lived in Plattsburg.

Abraham Tacy and several of his brothers moved to Northampton, Massachusetts, and there many of the family began using the name Tessier; probalby it was originally their name.

>From the census, at ancestry.com, Joseph appears to be the son of Francis Hart, born 1810 in Canada. Francis' household also contained a Polly Hart allegedly 15 years younger than he and too young to be Joseph's mother.

I found old posts here about a Hart dit Jolicoeur line from Canada, that lived in Clinton County, NY. One branch of them used the name Vadeboncoeur.

But no mention of Francis, only a different Joseph, and the Jolicoeur connection was rather unclear. Unclear if this
line is really Hart dit Jolicoeur and if not why they think they are. Jolicoeur is sure a funny name to carry around if it does not belong to you.

Is there anyone here who has any further information?
