We, too, are looking for members of the Vadney family. There are many here in the Albany, New York area, and that has muddied the waters, and the facts are not always clear. We believe there is a Canadian connection.
In particular, we are trying to identify the parents of Frederick A. Vadney (born July 1882 in Waterford, New York and died April 1964). Frederick’s wife was Sarah Holleran (born July 1891, Amsterdam, New York and died March 1978).
Frederick’s father is thought to be Alfred Vadney (born 1860, perhaps in Waterford). His mother is thought to be Virginia Bourassa. However, we have been unable to connect these people. It’s also possible that Frederick had a brother or cousin named Levy (and we have found a Levy Vadney and an Eli Vadney whom we have not been able to connect).
Do these names match for anyone? Can anyone give us a hand with this brick wall?
