My Grandfather was Johan Adolf Vahle, born in Paderborn, Germany about 1846. He was a ship's engineer wheo married my Gran in Hull, England and eventually moved to Aberdeen, Scotland. He had three children;John Adolf, who died aged 16:Molly, who married and had two, Len and Elizabeth; and my Dad, who had just one. My Dad died this year, so the name now seems to be finished in this country.
